It must be a month since I did any 12 x 12 's so here are two I did last week.
The first is two old photo's I found of our visit to Disney Land in LA when Dave went over on business . I went with him and we had the second week visiting Disney Land , Universal Studios and Hollywood plus much more.
This one is of Dave's Mum and friends working in the Coop stores in war time . The lad in the middle must think all his birthdays have come at once.Dave's mum is on the far right as you look at it.
Just come back from the car boot with two 12x12 shadow box's and three Ikea mirror's for £2.What a great bargain!!!
They both look fab x
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely boards. I really like the way you have sewn the top card and added a little shell. I love old photos and like you say I bet the lad enjoyed posing for that particular photo. Well done on your bargains.
ReplyDeleteI have decided to follow your site becuase your work is just so wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Co-op photo is lovely, and you've really done it justice.
ReplyDeleteI like all things oldfashioned, so your two pages are exactly my style. Love how you did the flower on the second one.
ReplyDeleteThe lacing on the top layout is very nice. Bob was telling me today about his trip to Disney Land and Universal Studios when he was a kid.
ReplyDeleteThey do look great. I'm a fan of old photos - they are great if they are family members but sometimes they are just lovely for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI like the little clock on the Coop one :)
Beautiful boards, what a fantastic way to display old photos and have all the lovely memories they bring to mind
ReplyDeleteBoth of these look fab. Especially like the informal stitching on the first one. I have inherited a load of old photos of Mum and Dad and was thinking of doing some crafting layout type things with them. You have inspired me together them out a d have a go. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage look to your boards & the lacing pattern too.

Bargins are what makes the day :D
ReplyDeleteI adore the 12x12 with the ladies sitting. The choice of backing etc really set it off.
Wow, your work is really interesting and unusual. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to keep your treasured memories safe :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful those turned out! I love the vintage look. I want to work on scrapbooks for my adult sons and have not started on them. :)
ReplyDeleteReally lovely 12 x 12's Chris and I do like the flower display in the bottom right hand corner of the second one. The stitching on the first ones is such a great idea. Hope you have a good week.
